Riverview Students Participate in STEM Day at The Minnesota Capitol
Four Riverview Spanish/English Dual Immersion 4th graders had the opportunity to participate as exhibitors at STEM Day at The Minnesota Capitol on January 31 alongside our partners from The Work Museum. The students and their science specialist, Ryan Birkemeier from Riverview Elementary, were invited by The Works Museum to interact with guests and other exhibitors, demonstrating and discussing what they learned during their Electromagnetism Workshop earlier this year.
This in-school program is made possible through a 3M grant to The Works. Museum educators bring this workshop to all SPPS fourth-grade classrooms at no charge to SPPS.
In addition to being part of The Works Museum exhibit, the students explored other STEM exhibits and took a self-guided tour of the Capitol.
